Marstad,reg. is a small, hobby kennel breeding quality Labrador Retrievers. I am active in conformation showing, obedience trials and hunting and the AKC hunt test program.Beginning as a 4-H Guide Dog puppy raiser, I have been training, showing, breeding and enjoying Labrador Retrievers for over 25 years.
I am a California state licensed Registered Veterinary Technician
and own and manage a horse boarding ranch in Livermore, CA. Active in the
Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Club, I am also a member of the Labrador Retriever
Club(AKC parent club), the LRC of Southern CA, and the Labrador Retriever
Club (England). I am an AKC approved Hunt Test judge at the Junior Level.
All dogs in my breeding program are:
•Screened for orthopedic disease by the Wind-Morgan/GDC program at UC
Davis and/or OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals)
•Examined by a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist and registered
with CERF (Canine Eye Research Foundation)
•Evaluated for heart valve defects by color doppler and any other medical
conditions currently being monitored in the breed.
Advice
on Labradors, dog care and training is always available. Visitors are welcome
and encouraged to visit my kennel BY APPOINTMENT. I generally have dogs in
a range of ages and both genders for you to meet.
I encourage your acquiantance with the breed before you purchase a Labrador Retriever to see if a lab is what you have in mind. Labradors are not for everyone! I also encourage visiting several different kennels to become educated on the different styles and personalities of the breed.
Stud Dogs are available on a limited basis to outside bitches with the appropriate health clearances, and breed type and temperment evaluations. Stud service arrangements are by private treaty. To view our dogs, please select Stud Dogs from the navigation menu on the leftside of this page.
Puppies are only occasionally available since breeding is only done to produce a puppy for myself. I raise and socialize all my litters in my home. Before leaving they are checked for parasites and treated if necessary. They have their series of puppy vaccinations started, microchips implanted for permanent identification, and their eyes examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist.
All puppies are sold with an AKC Limited Registration which can be changed to a Full Registration after discussion with me and upon completion of the appropriate health screenings.

puppy replacement policy states: if a puppy obtained from me is not functional
for the purpose you indicated at the time of sale, I will replace that puppy
from my next breeding. The original puppy may be kept by you, with certification
of spaying or neutering, or returned to me. I am always willing to take back
ANY Marstad Labrador at ANY time for ANY reason.
Also,rarely, an Adult Dog becomes available for sale.

“Whiskey” is a 20 month old darker yellow male. He is a typical sweet male Labrador. He is by CH Saddlehill Struttin In The Moonlight and my Galileo Marstad Bleu Moon. AKC registered, vaccinations current, microchipped.
“Zap” is a three year old black female. She is AKC show pointed and a real clingy girl. She is by my CH Hollyhill Delby’s Samuel Adams WC CGC and out of Galileo Marstad Bleu Moon. Zap is OFA clear hips and elbows, vaccinations current, microchipped.
